Each EZAlert.me channel offers an email address you can use to deliver alerts from devices/software that are unable to make API calls.

From an email to a push notification

Each EZAlert.me channel offers an email address you can use to deliver alerts from devices or software that are unable to make API calls.

Its use is pretty straightforward: enter your channel configuration page and select the “Email gateway” option of the "Config" menu to show the email gateway address for that channel.

It has the form ZZ-ZZZZZZ@ezalert.me as in the following picture:

Use this email address as destination email address on all those applications or devices that can't support API/Webhook calls: EZAlert.me email gaetway will receive all the those emails and generate an alert into the channel using the email text.

However we recommend to use the email gateway only if you have no other viable option: if you can, just use the RESTful API!

Also note that email gateway will silently process inbound emails and there will be no reply either in case of success or failure.
